Focus Kitty: Pomodoro Timer (the "Application") is a Pomodoro timer for macOS and iOS, designed with a privacy-first, local-only philosophy. It is provided by Manas Protim Das ("Service Provider") as a Freemium service, intended for use "AS IS".
This privacy policy applies to the Focus Kitty: Pomodoro Timer app distributed through the Apple App Store.
2. Focus Guard & Focus Shield Feature
On macOS, the optional "Focus Guard" feature detects the names of active applications on your Mac locally and in real-time to provide gentle focus reminders during work sessions.
- Application names are checked in memory only and are never logged, stored, or transmitted.
- This feature uses Apple's public `NSWorkspace` API and does not interfere with other applications.
3. Payments and Subscriptions
Focus Kitty offers optional premium features via in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store (StoreKit).
- All payment transactions are handled entirely by Apple. The Service Provider does not have access to your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
- Purchase and subscription information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application does not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties.
- No third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services are integrated into the Application.
- No data is shared with third-party AI services.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- Retention: Data persists on your device for as long as the Application is installed.
- Deletion: You can delete all Application data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the reset options within the Application's Settings. No data remains on any external server because none was ever transmitted.
6. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: All your data is visible within the Application itself (Stats, Tasks, Settings).
- Deletion: Uninstall the Application or use in-app reset options to permanently remove all data.
- Portability: Since data is stored locally, it is inherently under your control on your device.
Since the Service Provider does not collect data on any server, there is no additional data to request, correct, or delete.
7. Children's Privacy
Focus Kitty does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The Application does not contain behavioral advertising. Since all data is processed and stored locally, the Service Provider has no means to access information from any user.

8. Security
The Application leverages macOS's built-in App Sandbox to ensure that your data is isolated and protected from other applications. No network connections are made by the Application to transmit user data.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new effective date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Photo Library Access: Focus Kitty may request permission to save app-generated graphics to your Photo Library. On iOS, the optional "Focus Shield" feature uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls) to temporarily block apps you choose during active focus sessions.You select which apps to block — Focus Kitty never sees app names or identifiers. Apple uses opaque tokens that are unreadable to the Application.
Blocking is only active while a focus timer is running and is automatically lifted at the end of each session.
Your app selection is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server.
Focus Kitty does not monitor, collect, or transmit any Screen Time data, usage statistics, or information about your installed apps.
